Peg Donahue will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.
DELRAY BEACH, FL, July 09, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ — Peg Donahue, Owner and Sole Proprietor of three businesses, Peg at Your Service, Peg’s Home Staging Solutions, and Portside Cuisine, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Peg Donahue will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.
Rethinking her career after making the decision to move her mother into her home more than nine years ago due to an onset of Alzheimer’s disease, Peg Donahue wanted the flexibility to make her own hours and still earn a good income doing something she loved. Establishing Peg at Your Service, a concierge, errand, personal assistant, and private property management assistant business, Donahue is also the proud owner of Peg’s Home Staging Solutions, a home staging and interior design business, and Portside Cuisine, a website and blog that is dedicated to living life by the sea and her years as a yacht chef.
“My job entails being really flexible because the calls for help I receive have ranged from taking someone’s elderly parents to a doctor’s appointment, to being someone’s personal assistant, and picking up a visitor in my area who came in on his racing bike to perform in a cross country race,” Donahue said about Peg at Your Service.
As a blogger for Portside Cuisine, Donahue writes about her many travels on the sea and topics like ‘Throwing a Dinner Party’. She also posts countless recipes for every type of taste bud, even the pickiest in the bunch. It has also served as a great way to promote her recently published cookbook, ‘The Portside Cuisine Cookbook: A Yacht Chef’s Recipe Collection’.
“The writing of my cookbook took several years and was a lot of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears, literally,” Donahue said proudly. “I really hope my cookbook does well, but the gratitude of my clients is more than I could ever ask for.”
Admitting that, while she loves the work and has found it to be very satisfying, Donahue said she is officially phasing out the Peg’s Home Staging Solutions business, as it has become much more physically challenging for her over the past few years.
Donahue spent nine years as a chef working on private yachts throughout the East Coast, the International Waterway from Miami to New York City, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean, from Santo Domingo to Grenada and Venezuela, South America. She is a self-taught Chef who has taken a few academic courses, and is also Certified in Interior Design through the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
