Welcome to Portside Cuisine
My name is Peg Donahue and I have a passion for cooking. I spent a number of years as a chef on several yachts and decided to share my collection of recipes and stories. I hope to share lots of information, tips and cooking ideas through portsidecuisine.com and hope you will visit often. Portside Cuisine covers a whole range of culinary and yachting topics. It is a compilation of recipes, photos, stories of my life at sea as a live-aboard. You can also read travel experiences like a journal of Baltic cruise adventures and my vacation in Copenhagen, and tips and techniques as a sailor and as a chef aboard private and charter yachts. Also discussed are personal stories of family memories and many international friends. We talk about my new cookbook, The Portside Cuisine Cookbook, A Yacht Chef’s Recipe Collection. The reader is invited to subscribe and receives a free download of a small collection of recipes which are also in the cookbook. The cookbook is currently available both as a digital cookbook and as a printed cookbook chock full of beautiful color photos. The recipes and stories are archived by date posted for easy access. You are welcome to become a member and rate the recipes and leave comments on both the blogs and the posted recipes.
