Those old ice cube trays now sitting in storage can be used for so many new ideas…
You can make up a batch of pesto, fill with your cold unused brewed coffee, use your food processor to finely mince fresh garlic, squeeze fresh lemon juice, etc., etc. The list can be as long as your imagination. Take any of these ingredients, fill the trays and then freeze them.
When the item is frozen, remove each new cube and place into a Ziploc® bag and use an individual cube as needed for your favorite sauces, soups, etc.
The frozen coffee cubes, lemonade or tea can be used to keep your iced drinks from getting watered down.
